This week our drainage team expanded a swamp of back yard from 1950 into dry usable zero scape. Due to back yard drainage issues and poor concrete patio construction water was coming into the crawlspace. With Higher Ground’s elegant french drain / dry creek bed solution we were able to dry out the yard / crawlspace and give the home owner ~800 square feet more usable space in the back yard and 100% more peace of mind. For this solution we used catch basins, solid PVC pipes, and perforate PVC pipe wrapped in geo fabric and packed with clean gravel. The home owner opted for pine straw to create a zero scape low maintenance yard. The result was exceptionally functional and aesthetic.
