A long lasting backyard makeover starts with proper grading.
Last month we helped a customer with a large and tricky grading project. The family had purchased the steep lot behind their home in order to turn it into a place for the kids to play. To do this first we contracted the trees to be removed. After this we delivered, graded and compacted 300 tons of clay. Once the grading work was completed we then contracted an irrigation system to be installed over this half acre lot. Once the sprinklers were in we installed 160 tons of topsoil and biodegradable straw blanket.
After all the grading was completed we gave them a land bridge to cross the drainage swale between the two yards. We installed 40 tons of large river stone to make a dry creek bed out of what was a clay ditch.
The final product is a happy family with a great yard to play in and a lovely place to watch the sunset. Cheers to well thought out grading work.
