Leaning Dangerous Retaining WallGood Retaining Wall

This week we finished another awesome custom retaining wall project. This homeowner called us because the house he moved into had a precariously leaning retaining wall in the front yard. Retaining walls lean and collapse due to water and heavy unconsolidated soil pressing on the back of the wall. Without proper drainage a retaining wall’s collapse is inevitable. The wall he had was built with NO gravel or drainage system behind it.

Our team removed the block, cleaned it up, and crafted a two tiered yard and landscape bed. This house is built into the steep hills of the North Shore in Chattanooga TN. As with most of the houses in this area it didn’t have much of a front yard to start with. Our work gave the homeowner a lot more usable space.

Our walls all come standard with a full one foot wide column of gravel behind them with a 4” perforated PVC pipe protected by a sediment shield. Call today to get your free estimate.
